In case one who has stumbled upon this blog does not know what this blog is about, then I will clear that up right now. It is an outlet through which my creative juices can flow, and a way for my critical thinking teachers to keep tabs on me. Throughout the semester, I will take the following steps for creating the greatest short story this world has ever seen (well that's the plan anyway).

Step 1: Write a short story

I will write a decent sized short story with the knowledge I currently possess about writing. It will probably have to be on the longer side, considering it will be showing a whole semester of work.

Step 2: Research
I will research what makes a short story a good short story like what is limited scope, or how to have good characterization. I will also research anything specific that will be going into my story, meaning, for instance,  that since my main character will have superntural powers, I will research different creatures or explanations for different supernatural powers.

Step 3: Revision
I will take the information from step two and incorporate it into my story.


All of these steps may blend together a little, but this is how events should transpire, for the most part.
